Creamy Homemade Basundi: A Rich And Indulgent Indian Dessert

Ingredients

1-liter full-fat milk 1/2 cup condensed milk 1/4 cup sugar (adjust according to taste), 1/2 tsp cardamom powder A pinch of saffron strands Chopped nuts (such as almonds, pistachios) for garnish

Step 1

Boil the milk in a pan. Stir occasionally to prevent the milk from sticking to the bottom.

Step 2

Add the saffron strands with 1 teaspoon of warm milk. Set it aside. when the milk has thickened, add the condensed milk and sugar.

Step 3

Cook the mixture on low heat for another 10-15 minutes, Add the saffron-infused milk and cardamom powder to the pan.

Step 4

Once cooled, transfer the Basundi to a serving bowl Garnish with chopped nuts and serve chilled.
